Psychological assessments are uniquely tailored to each client and thus can vary greatly in length. A short assessment geared towards identifying a very specific issue such as ADHD costs approximately $1,500 and includes a report and a feedback session. The cost for a more comprehensive assessment could range from $2,000 to $3,000. Prior to making an appointment, Dr. Firer offers a free 15-minute phone call in order to answer any questions you might have about the assessment process, including the referral question, assessment length, and cost.
Third-party payers, such as Pacific Blue Cross, may cover some of the cost. Medical Service Plan does not cover psychological services. Fees are collected at the beginning of each hourly session.
