Carly Ingram (MSc, RCC) has been working with youth and young adults since 2012. She recently spent two years at Foundry helping youth and young adults (aged 16-25) with addiction and mental health challenges related to homelessness, trauma, and interpersonal relationships.
Carly specializes in treating trauma and helping youth and young adults process negative life experiences that impact day-to-day functioning and overall well-being. While working in programs that addressed mental health, homelessness, addictions, education, and the justice system, Carly began to notice a common thread; trauma and its significant (and often painful) effects on any aspect of life. Healing can happen by exploring and addressing these past hurts.
Using an attachment lens, Carly considers how early experiences influence current life, wellness, and relationships. She uses an embodied approach that explores body sensations and experiences, memories, deeply held beliefs, emotions, and thoughts. She has training and experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) among other psychotherapy approaches.
Carly primarily works with youth and young adults (16-25 years old) who may be experiencing
