Miriam Balen is a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) with a Master of Social Work degree. She has been practicing social work for more than 25 years and has extensive experience in the mental health field providing individual and group counselling in both hospital and community settings.

As a Registered Clinical Social Worker (#03191), Miriam is accountable for her practice through adherence to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
In order to be able to be designated as a Registered Clinical Social Worker, Miriam has met stringent requirements, including demonstrating a proficiency in clinical work, passing a rigorous licensing examination, and completing ongoing professional development on an annual basis.
Fees:
Miriam offers free initial 20 minute telephone consultations.
Fees are $160 for 50 minute sessions and are paid at the end of each session by cash, cheque, or e-transfer. Cancellation requires 48 hours notice, otherwise the full fee will be charged.
Some Employer’s Extended Health Plans may provide funding for services of a Registered Clinical Social Worker. Check with your service provider.
