If your child is struggling in school with learning or unwanted behaviours a psycho-educational assessment may help you uncover your child’s unique approach to learning identifying their individual areas of strengths and weakness. Once assessed, your child will receive an individualized report that includes customized strategies to better support your child with learning.
Children with the following behaviours may benefit from a psych-ed assessment:
A psycho-educational assessment can help you uncover appropriate ways to support your child’s unique learning style. It can help your child’s teacher to develop a personalized learning plan that strengthens your child’s ability to complete assignments through enriched materials for a more creative approach to instruction. It can also strengthen the parent-child relationship by including individualized strategies for parent-child communication: for example, does your child benefit from verbal instruction or written instruction? Ultimately the assessment will provide you with tools to advocate for your child in academic or institutional settings.
HOW TO PREPARE:
A psycho-educational assessment can take several hours to complete and is individualized based on the complexity of your child’s needs. Currently, you can book a psycho-educational assessment at Three Story Clinic with Dr. Neeti Sachdeva. Please contact the clinic at admin@threestoryclinic.com to discuss the specifics of your request.
