EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Pavan is an Intern Counsellor completing her Master’s of Social Work (Clinical) at the University of British Columbia. Her educational background in Psychology, Counselling and Human Development allows her to approach her clients with a compassionate, developmental, and trauma-informed lens. Pavan has more than seven years of mental health experience supporting children, youth, and families, in the areas of family reunification and child development. Alongside her clinical experience, Pavan has engaged in years of research, showcasing her commitment to evidence-based practice.

FOCUS

Pavan has a strong passion for supporting children and families with their mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, emotional concerns, and additional trauma-related responses. She uses a collaborative person-in-environment approach, recognizing that caregiver involvement can support a child’s healing. Pavan believes in meeting clients where they are, as they are experts in their own lives. Pavan tailors her approach to each unique client while using attachment and strengths-based theories, along with CBT, EFT, and ACT principles.
